Growing up in a neighborhood that was populated by average citizens, she had a good education throughout high school, and in college. Apryl was a guest during Search For The Next Doll and took part in an audition to become a member of Pussycat Dolls. Apryl wasn't selected after failing to impress the judge. Then she met the artist on a tour with her as a backing singer. They became involved, in the Vh1 popular TV show Hollywood becoming one of the original eight cast members. The initial season depicts the birth and pregnancy of their daughter Megaa Omari. Her career struggles and insecurities will be explored in the second season. The Omarion tour kept him from attending the recording of the second season reunion. Apryl disclosed on December 7, 2015 that she and Omarion had quit the show. The pair would not appear in the next season. The baby girl of Apryl's was born to them on March 7 2016. Apryl split from Omarion 4 months later. Apryl appeared as a special appearance on the show's fourth season in which she met Lil' Fizz and discussing a possible B2K reunion. Apryl makes a return to the show in Season 6, which focuses on her custody battles with Omarion, as well as the media's speculation and scrutiny of her relationships with Lil' Fizz. Both confess to their romance and force Apryl into a fight with Moniece.
